Tier1CRM is a Salesforce.com consulting services provider with base in Toronto, Canada. They provide and develop specialized CRM solutions powered by on-demand industry leader salesforce.com.

Project:

Business Vision was asked to develop and improve the Ace Ownership Data (AOD) application. AOD is a flex application fully integrated with salesforce.com through web services, with several synchronization features between salesforce.com and Thomson Reuters application data.

Challenge:

TBusiness Vision was asked to develop and improve Tier1CRM Ace Ownership Data (AOD) application, a Flex application fully integrated with salesforce.com through web services, with several synchronization features between salesforce.com and Thomson Reuters application data. It was necessary to use advanced triggers, bulk and batch APEX techniques.

Development:

The AOD application improvements were developed with Agile methodology. Business Vision Team was composed by one Project Manager, one Java/Apex developer and one QA tester.
This requirement was implemented using APEX:

• Interacting with the business model through SOQL/SOSL for data querying and manipulation.
• Triggers to handle business operations automatically.
• DML for specific data operations with a correct use of the Transactional behavior (savepoints and rollbacks).

Bulk and batch operations for data synchronization between salesforce.com and third party systems were also required.
The apex development was fully tested with the Apex Testing framework and methodologies. We have also exposed several Apex classes as Web Services in order to be available for the Flex application inside a salesforce.com Tab.
This project was successfully delivered in two months time.
